Purpose of the Program
The township bridge program provides funds for the rehabilitation, replacement, or construction of bridges on the township highway system greater than 20 feet. The funds are from the state portion of the Motor Fuel Tax Fund and subject to rescission after 48 months.
The special bridge program provides funding for the construction and construction engineering of local public agency bridges which are estimated to cost more than $1,000,000 to rehabilitate or replace.
