Entrepreneurship as Rural Economic Development Strategy

Norman Walzer

Project Abstract

Entrepreneurship is recognized as an important local economic development strategy for business and job creation. At the same time, innovative strategies that result in successful entrepreneurship practices have not been well-documented, although a growing literature is developing.

Academic and professional papers on entrepreneurship practices are being solicited for a special issue of the Journal of the Community Development Society that Norman Walzer will edit. Scholars and practitioners who are writing on entrepreneurship topics have been contacted and asked for submissions. These papers will undergo the traditional peer-review process.

Deliverables Expected from Project

A special issue of the JCDS is expected to be published in 2004.
