DCEO: The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is charged with enhancing Illinois' economic competitiveness by providing technical and financial assistance to businesses, local governments, workers and families. As the state's lead economic development agency, DCEO works to capitalize on Illinois' strengths as a center of transportation, manufacturing and technology development.
MIDWEST CDI: The Midwest Community Development Institute (CDI) is a comprehensive professional training program in community and economic development designed for development professionals, community leaders, and elected officials. CDI provides hands-on practical training that can be immediately applied to improving the economy and quality of life in communities.
Take Charge (Iowa State University): Take Charge is a an economic development educational program developed by the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development whereby leaders in small communities learn about their community and plan for its future.
Vermont Council on Rural Development: VCRD works throughout Vermont, providing avenues for public discussion and action on issues important to Vermonters. Through program and policy initiatives, we are working to strengthen communities, develop local leadership, and advance rural opportunities.
