Mapping the future programs

I am interested in pursuing MAPPING the Future in my Community! How do I Begin?

If your community or civic organization is interested in the MAPPING the Future program, the first step is to form an informal steering committee of 6-10 people who are interested in learning more. This might be an intact group, such as a Community development or civic organization, or an informal group of interested community leaders and residents.

Next, contact the MAPPING program manager to request a no-cost, no-obligation meeting to explore the possibilities for your community. There is no application fee, and the local sponsorship funds for MAPPING are not required until the first community visioning session. We encourage you to forward this website to others in the community for background information prior to an initial consultation meeting.

There is no application deadline or specific time frame to follow. MAPPING programs are conducted on a first come, first served basis throughout the year, as our scheduling permits.
