Donna Corrie is a Certified Business Specialist at the Illinois Small Business Development Center. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Western Illinois University (Bachelor of Arts with a business emphasis).
Donna joined the Illinois Small Business Development Center in 1988. Prior to her employment at Western Illinois University, she was a licensed Illinois insurance producer who worked with commercial, property/casualty, and life/health lines.
Responsibilities
Donna provides business counseling and referral services to individuals who want to start or expand a business in western Illinois. She manages the ISBDC budget, business library, marketing efforts & website, and relationships with business resource partners in the ISBDC’s 12-county service area.
Donna is a member of the Lamoine Valley Human Resources Association and the Illinois Entrepreneurship and Small Business Growth Association. She serves on the IESBGA Coordinating Council, the IESBGA Certification Committee, and is currently Treasurer of that state association. She participates in state and national professional development programs and conferences in order to maintain the Certified Business Specialist designation awarded by the Illinois Entrepreneurship and Small Business Growth Association.
