Cynthia Sutton is a faculty assistant at the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs. She has a MA in History (1993) and a BA in History (1989) from Western Illinois University.

Responsibilities
Sutton is responsible for providing administrative support for the Peace Corps Fellows Program with an emphasis on budget management, strategic planning, and office-systems development and implementation.

Employment Experience
Sutton joined the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs in July 2006. Prior to that time she worked in not-for-profit management and development for more than 15 years. Her last position was Executive Director of the Wright Museum in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. In that position, she had responsibilities that included institutional and programmatic development, human resource management and strategic planning.
