Bill Westerhold is a Project Manager, Business and Geographic Information Services (BGIS) at the Institute for Rural Affairs. He has an M.A. in Geography from Western Illinois University.

Employment Experience
He has been with the Institute since January of 1995.

Primary Activities
Westerhold specializes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) research and applications. He also heads up the Business and Industry Data Center and the Geographic Information Services Unit. Current work involves developing GIS applications for regional planning commissions, consultation on GIS to local governments and cartographic production within the Institute for Rural Affairs.
