Brock Terry is Faculty Assistant/GIS Technical Analyst for the Illinois Value-Added Development Center. He completed his B.S. (2000) and M.A. degrees from Western Illinois University (2007) both in Geography/GIS. His master’s thesis dealt with locating new municipal solid waste facilities in Fulton, McDonough, and Warren Counties using GIS Site Suitability Analysis.

Employment Experience
Terry has been involved with GIS at the regional and county level for the past six years. Previous work experience includes working as a GIS Technician for a local assessor’s office, Transportation Planner/GIS Specialist with a down state county, and a GIS Consultant for a local planning agency. Terry also teaches Introductory GIS Courses at a local community college.

Responsibilities
Terry's responsibilities include the construction and maintenance of a web-based GIS mapping tool for helping locate new business and industry in the State of Illinois. Terry also assists IVASDC with other GIS related tasks such as data creation and manipulation, map production, and analysis.
